AnnouncementTED Masterclass is now available to even more learners!

Since launching TED Masterclass as a limited trial on desktop last year, we’ve heard a lot of positive feedback. Many people found that the desktop version of the course made it easier to access, easier to focus, and easier to see all the details in the videos. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve heard about the desktop version of the course:

“I like having the course on a large screen. Now I can see the facial expressions of speakers in the videos.”

“I am not good at staying focused on mobile - too many distractions. The computer version lets me focus more on the class... this is great!”

“I have a better time accessing and using materials on my computer than I do on the phone.”

Since the web app for desktops and laptops was available as a limited trial, only people who had already bought the course or were participating through an organization were able to access it.

We’re now pleased to announce that we have fully launched the web app, and it is available for all users, even if they have not yet purchased or accessed the course. Anyone can now create an account to experience the first lesson of TED Masterclass and our library of resources for free.

And if you want to purchase the course in the US, UK, or India, you can now do so within the desktop app for USD $49.99. If you’re not in any of these countries but would like to access the desktop app, we’d love to hear from you! We’re still evaluating where else to make the desktop app purchasable and would love your feedback.

We also still offer the full mobile app experience, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Anyone who purchases the course on the web app will have full access to the course on the mobile app.

We are excited to make TED Masterclass available to even more learners, and to see how they use the mobile and web apps in ways that fit their needs.
